Here’s Some Recent News The IAM Won’t Tell You About

Seven long years after the IAM was voted in to represent post-merger ExpressJet flight attendants, it finally reached a tentative agreement (TA) for the 1,200 flight attendants.

But under the TA, legacy ExpressJet flight attendants with 7 – 18 years of service would NOT receive a scale increase through the life of the contract.

The last time legacy ExpressJet flight attendants received a scale increase was in 2009.

THE IAM GOT 7 YEARS, BUT FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WERE ONLY GIVEN 14 DAYS.

  • 11 days to review the TA
  • 3 days to vote, but only in person

The TA was overwhelmingly rejected by 68% of the flight attendants who voted. Now, after 7 long years, it’s back to the drawing board.

IAM negotiations are not worth the wait. Just ask ExpressJet flight attendants.
