Southwest flight attendants return to the negotiations table

On July 24, 2015, after two years of negotiations, the Southwest flight attendants’ union, TWU Local 556, announced that 87% had rejected a new agreement with management. The six-year contract provided for an immediate 3% scale increase plus two additional increases of 3% and bonuses. On December 16, 2015, the union announced that the parties had resumed negotiations for the first time since the rejected TA.
